Joy S. Strong Foundation Small Business Incubator Case Study

'educating mind, business, & community'

About Us

Our Experience

The Joy S. Strong Foundation (JSSF), conducting its small business incubator case study in the cities of Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Chesapeake, Virginia, is a non-profit social science research management & consulting corporation established to assist small business start-up/expansion for long-term success.  We apply social science research techniques & methodologies to enhance effective & efficient management operations of your small business and, ultimately, your business' bottom line and, throughout the Hampton Roads' business community (see our brand @ manta.com).  After 5 years in the industry, we decided to alter our direction. Now, we share our passion by helping small businesses by providing sponsorship for our small business incubator case study participants.  Our ramped up process is designed to empower your business and outfit it with the tools it needs to participate in our case study and, succeed thereafter. Talk to us today about how we can support your growth, limit your turnover, and put you on a solid track to success and profit.

Our Approach

Our approach is to provide sponsorship that share our ideology that a small business consortium can provide the necessary human resources program planning to assist residents & community by providing human resources services & activities for employment, educational, and housing services; and, become self-sufficient.  We provide a comprehensive consultation with potential sponsors to make this small business case study a success and, to help identify gaps and opportunities, a comprehensive report that includes a project plan with timelines and milestones, a cost analysis, and a schedule. We also offer a suite of our sponsored quality products/services/billboard placements that will help your business get there quickly and smoothly. That’s how we ensure your success.

Why Us?

Business mentors are key—that’s why when it comes to client selection, we’re choosy. The goal of this case study is to institute a small business consortium and provide case management activities & services and research methodologies including operationalized hypothesis statements that enable the researcher (JSSF) to predict outcomes/forecasts to enhance management operations of each participating small business at less costs, increased profits; and consequently, accentuate our attitude of idealism toward self-sufficiency.  The case study is designed to ameliorate the quality of life of individual participants, increase federal, state, and local government revenue, provide a scientific approach to reduced operating costs, and, maintain increased profits to small businesses for long-term success.  Further, the JSSF has the capability to provide contracting & sub-contracting opportunities to small business participants.  We want to give each small business the time and guidance it deserve.  Whether you’re seeking a strategic alliance with the right business partner or a special skillset or tool, together we’ll create and refine your plan for success. We will not get there alone.   And neither will you.

sponsorship

  • The primary source of financial assistance for the JSSF small/minority business research/case study is dependent upon sponsorship/benevolent giving to assist in obtaining the necessary supplies, equipment, & materials used for outreach to individuals, their community , & participating small businesses.  Sponsors establish a dialoque, through their contribution that supports the ideology and philosophy, that our small business consortium proponent provide a vehicle for much needed individual and community human resources programs to become self-sufficient. Proceeds designated for program use will result from the small business consortium's participation costs and will be on-going throughout this study and beyond.  Thus, sponsors are encouraged to embark on this innovative concept with a financial contribution and/or product, service, or billboard placement. Contributions are accepted here online or, mailed designated restricted use donations/contributions are accepted at:  The Joy S. Strong Foundation, Old Point National Bank, 580 East Main Street, Norfolk, Virginia  23510.
